Stamp Out Forest Fires
24x36, oils on board.
One of Bill's first paintings, done in 1984, Stamp Out Forest Fires was his first large oil, and his first dragon. He still complains about painting every individual scale, before developing more-efficient methods. Originally painted as an illustration for a fantasy game, it shows his wife's D and D character taking on a dragon near its lair. Except for a couple of Renn Faires, it almost never hung at shows, since it didn't fit at arts festivals, and this was years before Bill became a regular at conventions.
Later, Guardian Angels was painted as a visual bookend piece to it.
It could use a minor clean-up and varnish before delivery.
